Abstract

Objective: To explore the application effect of risk prediction training in pre-job training of patient safety culture for new nurses. Methods: The newly enrolled nurses in July 2023 were selected as the research objects. 92 researchers were randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group with 46 nurses in each group by using the online mini program "lottery assistant". The control group used the conventional training content, and the experimental group added the patient safety culture training content based on risk prediction training on this basis. The experimental group learned the risk prediction training template of adverse events, and analyzed, discussed and improved the risk prediction training template at the end of each exercise. After the training, the level of patient safety culture, the level of adverse event reporting barriers and the assessment scores of the two groups of new nurses were compared. Results: After the training of new nurses, the score of patient safety culture in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group, and the score of adverse event reporting disorder was lower than that in the control group, with statistical significance (P < 0.05). There were also statistical differences in the above indexes between the two groups before and after intervention (P < 0.05). The theoretical test score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Risk prediction training can improve the level of hospital patient safety culture of new nurses, reduce the barriers to adverse event reporting, ensure nursing safety, and provide scientific basis for improving the course teaching of new nurses, which is worthy of popularization and application.
