Abstract

Under this background, we investigated the current situation about marriage and fertility concept of nurses in childbearing age including the attitude, psychology and related reasons and so on. Methods: From January 1, 2022 to July 31, 2022, the anonymous questionnaire survey included general information, the degree of attention to childbirth, the impact of multiple children on nurses, the willingness to have children, and the degree of attention to children's education, health, moral character, pension and other aspects, etc. under the multiple children policy. Results: Nurses 'education level, work and life and economic pressure, economic income, parental support system, social support system, family structure, and traditional concepts will all have an impact on nurses' concept of marriage and childbearing. 44.53% of nurses think they are not able to raise children, more than 50% think that the education cost of children will have an impact on marriage, 40.49% are willing to have only one child, and 24.29% do not want to have a second child. Conclusion: The status of nurses shows that the nurses tend to have less children. The active implementation of the corresponding policies will have a great impact on the fertility concept and fertility status of nursing staff, such as reducing the work and life pressure of nurses, increasing economic income, increasing the social support system, reducing the cost of childbirth and upbringing, etc.
