Determinants of Posyandu Utilization Among the Elderly at Jembatan Kecil Health Centre Bengkulu City

Abstract

Posyandu has a vital role in maintaining the quality of life of the elderly because posyandu for the elderly is the minor health service unit that is most able to improve the quality of life of the elderly who are more vulnerable to disease and is one of the community's approaches to primary health services, the higher the community gets health services, increasing the level of public health. This research aims to determine the influence of Posyandu among the elderly in Bengkulu City on access to Posyandu, family support, and motivation for using Posyandu at the Jembatan Kecil Health Center. This type of research is quantitative and uses the cross-sectional method. Research design uses cross-sectional. A simple random sampling technique was used for this research. Respondents in this study were 95 respondents. The results of the Chi-Square statistical test show that there is a relationship between access to posyandu (p value= 0.000), health worker services (p value= 0.000), family support (p value= 0.000), and motivation (p value= 0.000). Utilization of posyandu for the elderly at the Jembatan Kecil Health Center, Bengkulu City. The results of multivariate analysis show that the most dominant variable is family support (p-value=0.000). This research hopes to inform the public, especially the elderly, about the use of posyandu for the elderly at the Jembatan Kecil Health Center, Bengkulu City.
