01About This Special Issue

The objective of this special issue “Hybrid Systems for power generation in Remote Areas” is to explore and assess the future energy potential from renewable sources, specifically for remote areas non-connected to the grid. This issue focuses on the renewable green sources namely; solar and wind energy, biomass, geothermal, hydraulic energy, Thermal storage, Hydrogen technology, Ocean Thermal Energy and CHP for the 21st century (2030-2050).
Papers should present numerical simulation models, or/and experimental techniques for predicting the total power generated by hybrid green energy systems composed of renewable/integrated Combined Heat and Power (CHP) energy sources. Numerical models or experimental techniques based upon describing the energy conservation and conversion equations of the different mechanisms and processes of the aforementioned hybrid systems. The predicted results and data should be analyzed, discussed and compared to available data in the literature under various conditions.
