01About This Special Issue

Dear Colleagues,
The topic of this Special Issue is “The Theory, Simulation, and Application of the Wave Control in Metamaterial and Metasurface”.
Due to the increasingly complex engineering environment, the development of the metamaterial and metasurface significantly affects electronic engineering design. Complex environments are prominent in aerospace, communication systems, and so on. These conditions lead to the degeneration of the entire system’s performance in many circumstances. In order to improve not only the performance but also overcome such problems, electromagnetic wave control is regarded as one of the most important ways. From the aspect of stealth technology, radiation prevention, new type of device, accurately electromagnetic measurement, and electromagnetic energy harvesting have become a frontier science.
However, challenges still need to be addressed to accelerate the development of these emerging applications. This Special Issue aims to report on new scenarios, technologies, and applications related to the concept of the Theory, Simulation, and Application of the Wave Control in Metamaterial and Metasurface, discuss challenges and risks, study the mechanization, and investigate the improvement method.
