About This Special Issue
Recently, there has been increasing interest in the treatment of different types of cancer through medicinal plants. The low cost, easy access and fewer side effects of healing plants compare to synthetic compounds publicize their usage. The aim of this special issue named “The most effective medicinal plants in cancer treatment” is to introduce different plants which are using from ancient till now in cancer therapy.

As different types of cancer show similar pathology, this special issue tries to highlight the most powerful plant-derived compounds effective in the treatment of cancer. The goal of this issue is to collect data reported from different researchers, labs, various countries and diverse studies to make a complete list of the strongest therapeutic plants.

The target of this special issue is to publish all studies about the effectiveness of individual plants and/or their co-administration or comparison with synthetic drugs in treatment of various types of tumors. Hence, all researchers are invited to submit their valuable findings and/or conceptual records in this special issue.

Abstract: Adenocarcinoma is known as a common type of cancer which includes 85% of breast carcinoma and 95% of colorectal carcinoma. Up until now, the cytotoxic effect of Thymoquinone on different types of tumor cells has been reported. It was hypothesized that Thymoquinone has similar effect on cancer arising from epithelial cells through gene expression an... Show More
