About This Special Issue
In the last decades, an increase in environmental protection concern combined to money saving targets, led to a general application of energy saving techniques in new and existing buildings. As a result, new materials used in the construction and building microclimate changed due to changes in ventilation rate and heat exchange. These changes affected indoor radioactivity. Radioactive substances inside building shielded and other not previously present used. Furthermore, indoor radon concentration affected by energy saving changes. It is known that radon is the source for half of the annual dose to the individual. The aim of this Special Issue is to provide a forum to researchers to present their work in this field and disseminate the knowledge of the specialized researchers to building constructors. As a result, life inside buildings could become safer in the future and energy saving could also be achieved.

Original research papers are solicited in any aspect of in-building radioactivity related or affected by Energy saving techniques.

Aims and Scope:

1. Energy saving in buildings and environmental protection
2. In-building energy saving techniques
3. Radioactivity in building
4. Energy saving techniques and in-building radioactivity
