About This Special Issue
Today, a major contributing factor to increased pollution in many societies is the usage of non-standard, unsustainable models in architecture and urban open spaces. So, the challenges of sustainable methods of design, using renewable energy resources and protecting the natural and built environments equally represent opportunities to achieve sustainable development’s aims. Sustainable Natural and Built Environments is an interdisciplinary special issue of American Journal of Environmental Protection, to provide opportunity for professional opinions on the energy, environmental studies and sustainable design policies. Papers dealing with fundamental research of environmental engineering, architecture, urban studies, landscape architecture and building materials will be considered in this issue, including but not limited to:
