About This Special Issue
Corruption, bad decisions, insecurity, the continued apathy and indolence of the state, the indiscriminate use of financial resources and the constant mistakes of politicians, in recent years, have created devastating effects for the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security so it would be a hoax for Ecuadorians not to take measures against a bankruptcy of said institution in the medium term. The research aims to analyze the current situation and organic functioning of the IESS, from a revisionist perspective that allows to project possible solutions in the short term. Both the stated objective and the methodology, together with other research techniques, allow us to state as main results that the IESS must be a priority in the Ecuador 2030 National Agreement that the government has presented, full and immediate restitution of 40 percent than the state must pay Social Security, eliminate corruption mafias, among others that must be adopted. Finally, it is concluded that the measures must be emergent since if something urgent is not done with Social Security, their sustainability will not be guaranteed and the state will not have answers for the pensions and pensions of future generations.
Aims and Scope:
Taking into account that throughout the present work the dynamic elements are the axes that, from the financial perspective through the IESS, it is proposed as an objective of the present investigation, to analyze the current situation and organic functioning of the IESS, from a revisionist perspective that allows to project possible solutions in the short term.
The type of study was selected taking into account the scientific knowledge that is expected to be reached, the type of information that is expected to be obtained and the level of analysis that was performed, taking into account these characteristics, a retrospective, prospective and cross-sectional study of the functioning was made. IESS organic to propose possible solutions.
The research methods were used with the intention of discovering the essential relationships and the fundamental qualities not detectable in a sensoperceptual manner, specifically using the methods of analysis and synthesis and the inductive-deductive method.
