About This Special Issue

The theme of this special issue is about the educational and social issues regarding continuing low-fertility rate in developed countries and consequent aging population in the society. Such phenomenon, low-fertility and aged population, becomes more and more serious problem in terms of making governmental policies in public health, welfare, and education. Among other, this special issue tries to focus on the effects of low fertility and longevity on education and/or school policies. This issue welcomes conceptual and empirical papers on educational policies in developing and developed countries, health issues of elderly people, and welfare policies for the beneficiaries from early childhood to old populations.
