About This Special Issue
Multiple ovulation and embryo transfer (MOET) is one of reproductive biotechnologies revolutions that opened avenues for strengthening the genetic improvement of animal production. It is undoubtable that the induction of ovarian super-stimulation and follows outputs of transferable embryos production of high quality are widely variables among donor cows within herd even for the same schedule of hormonal treatment and breeds. Therefore, the superovulatory response fortuity is still represents challenge and obstacles facing the efficiency and profitability of ET program during practical application. It is suggested that intrinsic between animal differences result in marked animal-to-animal variations in the magnitude of the ovarian super-stimulation response and subsequently embryos production. This variability has been attributed to gonadotrophin preparation with differences activities and its protocols for treatments. More recently, AMH concentrations in the blood are used as a reliable predictive marker for selecting good donor's cows that undergoing MOET program to produce -with high probability- good numbers of transferable and freezable embryos. In this special issue I have dedicated my studies as practical sustainable ways to improve embryos production in ET program in dairy cows.

Aims and Scope:

  1. Advanced Reproductive Technologies (ART)
  2. Multiple ovulation and embryo transfer (MOET)
  3. Recombinant human follicle stimulating hormone (rhFSH)
  4. Anti-müllerian hormone (AMH)
  5. Dairy cows

Abstract: The study was investigated to compare the effectiveness of Folltropin and two products (Fostimon and Menogon) of a recombinant human follicle stimulating hormone (rhFSH) on ovarian super-stimulation and embryo production in dairy Holstein cows. Two different doses for each super-ovulatory product were investigated. The relationship between the leve... Show More
