About This Special Issue
An unconventional physical model of creation of the observed physical space from a finite set of special discrete objects, byuons is presented. The global space anisotropy associated with a cosmological vectorial potential appearing in the definition of byuons, as well as a new interaction due to this anisotropy, are predicted. The last results of an experimental investigation of global space anisotropy and the proposed new interaction are given (analysis of fluctuations in the intensity of the β and α-decay of radioactive elements, motion of pulsars and anisotropy of cosmic rays, explanation of dark energy). A new method of power production (heat installation) based on the new interaction, as well as a new principle of motion of objects in nature with the use of physical space as a support medium, are advanced. On the basis of an assumed global anisotropy of the physical space and the associated non-gauge byuon theory (BT), an additional mechanism of energy accumulation in the process of development of a tornado to its mature stage is proposed. A simple electro-mechanical device is shown to harness the global anisotropy of the physical space in order to generate a traction force having a universal character because it doesn’t involve the exchange of momentum either with any contact surface or conventional medium such as water or air.

A project is presented to create in Mars’ orbit a protective stations belt (PSB) designed to bring down the asteroid hazard to the Earth, based on an interplanetary spacecraft (ISC) of a new type. This project may as well contribute to the investigation of fundamental problems of astronomy and astrophysics in the study of the properties of deep space using space platforms. The project is based on technical of new properties of nature: a new force that is used in the form of thrust for spacecrafts and a new quantum information channel providing a connection between the Earth, the PSB and the ISC.
