About This Special Issue
Manufacturing the polymeric fibrous composites and improvement of their properties by use of nanomaterials is one of my most important special issue. As the experimental methods are so expensive and encountered with some technical limits several researchers developed the theoretical methods to estimate the mechanical properties of composites/nanocomposites. Molecular dynamic (MD), molecular mechanic (MM) and finite element method (FEM) are the common methods which have been used to simulate the nano structures. Micromechanical methods have been also used to estimate the mechanical properties of composites in nano and micro scales. Multi-scale methods are known as the most advanced methods which could be used to calculate the physical properties of the nanocomposites from nano to macro scales. Using this method, the effect of reinforcement parameters (geometry, stiffness, interphase, strength …) on the mechanical properties of the nanocomposites have been studied. Most of my research publications are in the field of these theoretical methods.
Aims and Scope:
  1. nanocomposite
  2. micromechanics
  3. nanomechanics
  4. nano structures
  5. polymeric composite
  6. multi-scale methods
