About This Special Issue
Paralympic Games consist of a sporting event, which consists of competitions between high level athletes, from handicapped people, whether sensory or physical. The resemblance to the Olympics does not end there: the Games take place in the same place as the traditional Olympics, but they start shortly after they end. The Paralympic sport has grown in the national scenario, but still presents few studies that contributed to the increase of the performance in athletes for Olympic. For this reason, in this issue we will focus on studies that provide results that contribute to health and increased performance of athletes with cerebral palsy. Even the restricted literature points to the effectiveness of an interdisciplinary team, so it was decided to contemplate studies with different science professionals that integrated can contribute to health and increased performance of athletes of CP.
