Abstract: Dairy industry is one of the major industries in Ethiopia which can improve the livelihood of the farmer. Butter making process is the one and the most tedious and time consuming operations in dairy industry especially for small holder farmers. It can be made by churning either cream or soar milk. The research activity carried out support of AGP2 Sidama region in Burisa district and SNNPR in Gedio zone Bule district with objectives of to demonstration and popularization of improved milk churners, to evaluate the efficiency both milk churner in time consuming and better yield and to collect farmers’ preference. From these districts two peasant associations were purposively selected from list of peasant associations based on their potential of dairy production. Then, two groups which have fifteen members in each of women farmers were organized in the selected peasant associations to undertake demonstration and popularization of plastic milk churner. The training was given to farmers, DAs and districts’ dairy experts focusing on how to use the technology, advantages of technology over the traditional ones. A total of 2 FREGs (30 women farmers in two district) member farmers of which around 100% females have been participated on training and demonstration activities. The result reveals that use of plastic milk-churner reduces time of milk churning by half in relative to traditional one i.e. from 60 minutes to 30 minutes, significantly higher quantity of butter (0.39kg/5liter) was obtained from improved churner than traditional clay pot (0.27kg/5liter) and highly reduces work load in women so that, improved milk churner was preferred by two FREG members. Thus, Promotion of this technology should be expanded in other dairy cattle populated areas. Also, sealing of improved milk churner is not tight well, so there was continues dropping of milk, thus sealing part needs further improvement.

Abstract: The major aim of this study was to investigate the effects of Distributed Cognition Learning Theories on Trainers Capacity Building in the use of Autotronic tools for Skill acquisition in Nigeria Tertiary Institutions. In the study which was experimental with pre-test and post-test control groups of 84 (having n=44 as experimental and n=40 as control) participants made up of automobile/autotronic engineering trainers in Nigeria tertiary institutions. Instruments used for data collection was: Autotronic Simulator Interest Inventory (ASII), Autotronic Demonstrator Perception Inventory (ADPI) and Auto Diagnostic Competence Test (ADCT) to determine trainers capacity building needs using Improvement Needed Index (INI). In describing the instruments used for data collection, ASII, ADPI and ADCT were designed to seek information concerning application of Distributed Cognition Learning Theories (DCLT) approaches of physical prototypes, design analysis tools and computer-aided design models. The ASII and ADPI have 24 items while ADCT has 12 items and were analysed appling mean and standard deviation. Also, the score guide sheet was based on a four-point rating scale used by ratters. The Pearson Product Moment Coefficient of the test instrument was used to determine the reliability coefficient of 0.79. The data collected was in line with the research questions and hypotheses which were analysed. In taking decisions for items on interest, perception and competence, any mean of 3.50 and above are regarded as highly important and high performance, 2.50 - 3.49 mean are moderately important and moderate performance while mean of less than 1.50 are regarded as not important and very low performance. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was applied to test the null hypothesis at 0.05 level of significance and with the use of MATLAB for the graphical representations of the mean ratings that was used to answer the research questions. DCLT and Autotronic tools showed changes in the interest, perception and competence of Trainers was found in the process. The following recommendations are made: Review of curriculum to incorporate activities that reflect DCLT for imparting autotronic engineering with modern skill; trainers to be periodically encouraged to embark on capacity building training as the government is expected to equip the departments with the latest autotronic technology facilities.

Abstract: For the process gases cleaning from dust in sinter production, different types and designs of apparatus are used. These are battery multicyclones and electrocyclones, bag filters, as well as electrostatic precipitators of various designs. However, only electrostatic precipitators have clear advantages. The purpose of this article is to improve the design of an electrostatic precipitator by increasing the efficiency of collecting dust, using electronic-ion technology with the combined movement of dusty gases and reducing the size. The improvement is based on the task of introducing a new architecture for constructing an electrostatic precipitator. The use of this improvement will contribute to the creation of lighter and more compact electrostatic precipitators, will make it possible to regulate the resistance of the apparatus, which affects the efficiency, depending on the dust load and the dispersion composition of the solid component. Computer modeling was carried out in order to establish the mechanism of the aerodynamic forces influence of the gas flow and to determine the dependence of the drift velocity and the direction of movement of charged dispersed particles on the velocity of the medium being purified during the combined course of gases in the electrostatic precipitator. The problem is solved by the fact that the electrostatic precipitator has a modular structure and consists of a voltage unit, a charging unit with a system of crown needle electrodes made in the form of needle plates 0.2... 0.5 m long and 0.020... 0.030 m wide, connected to the deposition unit, in which the deposition electrodes are installed perpendicular to the gas flow with the possibility of regulation and fixation at any angle to the direction of movement of the gas flow. The technical result is an increase in the density of the corona charge, the efficiency of the deposition process, a decrease in the overall dimensions of the electrostatic precipitator, and a decrease in the time of its manufacture, adjustment and installation. A gas cleaning apparatus of modular type “MV-2” has been developed, in which a new modular layout and technology of gas cleaning are applied. The device makes it possible to provide the required emission standards in a much smaller size in the range of 20... 50 mg/m3, depending on the parameters of the dust and gas flow entering for cleaning and the fractional composition of dust.

Abstract: Project management is a topic of great importance in various economic activities, whether industrial, commercial or others. This article aims to present a network planning in a rolling mill in a forge, using the PMBOK as the basis for all project planning. The Project Management Institute, a forum of excellence in the area of projects, contributes to the theoretical consolidation and dissemination of experiences and good practices in the area, which, in turn, defined the concept of project as the temporary effort undertaken to create a product, service or single result, it recognizes five groups of project management processes: Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and Controlling and Closing Project Management is characterized as promoting teaching and learning in organizations, achieving significant results, where quality it is essential in the goals that the organization pursues. Project Management is the application of fundamentals and concepts, related to certain given skills. This work was carried out through the case study, following the planning and execution of the project. In the project described in this work, all acquisitions were carried out by the purchasing sector, subordinated to the financial sector. At the end of this work, it is concluded that Project Management is described as a promoter of teaching and learning in organizations, achieving significant results, where quality is essential in the objectives that the organization pursues.

Abstract: The journal bearing has been an important mechanical part of the mechanical system, and over the decade's researchers have been investigating how to analyse and enhance its performance. In order to improve the bearing performance, the surface texture and texture shape have the potential to improve its performance efficiently. Therefore, the present paper investigates the effect of different types of texture such as elliptical, cylindrical for the steady-state characteristics of journal bearing. It has been found that the incorporation of texture on the inner side surface of the bearing has a significant influence on the steady-state characteristics of the bearing. The resultsare obtained in terms of non-dimensional Sommerfeld number (S), attitude angle (ф), friction variable (μ), and flow coefficient (qz), by using the finite difference method and Gauss-Seidel method. The successive over-relaxation (SOR) technique has been applied to satisfy the boundary conditions. The obtained reluts show the improvement in tribological performance of the bearing characteristics through incorporation of texture. In addition, a comparative analysis of textured bearings i.e., elliptical, cylindrical is also done withplain journal bearing. It has been investigated that elliptical surfacestexturehas superior performance in contrast to cylindrical and plain textures.

Abstract: The possibility of analytical determination of the type of electric current conductivity by a solid oxide ion conductor based on stabilized zirconium dioxide (solid electrolyte, superionic) under the influence of a DC electric field and high temperature in the range of 500°-900° degrees is considered. The research objectives of this work are to mathematically interpret the phenomenal phenomenon of substance transfer and irreversible changes in a solid oxide electrolyte (or superionics) of an oxygen concentration cell with mixed electrolyte conductivity. The connection with the need to expand the temperature range of the method and the range of ceramic materials under study is shown. It is confirmed that the sample has a mixed conductivity due to O2- anions, Me+ cations and electrons with non-zero concentrations of na,k,e, charges qa,k,e and mobility in the field of electric forces. A mathematical formula for determining the mobility of anions and cations in a solid oxide superionic conductor based on stabilized zirconium dioxide is derived.
