Abstract: In this paper, a study by simulation of the capacitance and conductance of carriers of a heterojunction composed of a layer of Zinc oxide (ZnO), a layer of cadmium sulphide (CdS) and a layer of CIGS under the influence of a potassium fluoride (KF) layer placed in the CIGS / CdS interface is made. The simulation done with the SCAPS-1D software. Measurements on the capacitance-tension, the conductance-tension, the capacitance-frequency and the conductance-frequency are taken. The capacitance-voltage measurement shows an increase in capacitance as a function of the voltage and a decrease in its module when the KF layer is present in the CdS / CIGS interface. The conductance-voltage measurement also shows an increase in the conductance as a function of the voltage and when the KF layer isn’t present. The capacitance-frequency measurement shows a constancy of capacitance for the low values of the frequency and a decrease for the large values of the frequency. While the conductance-frequency characteristic shows an increase in the conductance with the frequencies. The measurements conductance-frequency and capacitance-frequency show a decrease in their modules when the KF layer is put into the CdS / CIGS interface. Besides, the total capacitance and the total conductance of the solar cell are determined according to the thickness of the KF layer. The measures reveal aussi that the capacitance and the conductance decrease with the increase in the thickness of the KF layer. The decrease in capacitance is caused by a passivation of the interface states while that of the conductivity is caused by the increase of the resistivity of the CIGS layer.Abstract: In this paper, a study by simulation of the capacitance and conductance of carriers of a heterojunction composed of a layer of Zinc oxide (ZnO), a layer of cadmium sulphide (CdS) and a layer of CIGS under the influence of a potassium fluoride (KF) layer placed in the CIGS / CdS interface is made. Abstract: A comparative analysis for improving the efficiency of 100MW Delta IV Ughelli gas turbine power plant is performed. The study used non-dominated sorting genetic and pattern search algorithms to minimize the objective function by optimally adjusting the operating parameters (decision variables). The adjusted operating variables were compressor inlet temperature (T1), compressor pressure ratio (rp), compressor isentropic efficiency (ɳic), turbine isentropic efficiency (ɳit), turbine exhaust temperature (T4) and air mass flow rate (ma), fuel mass flow rate (mf) and fuel supply temperature (Tf). The ambient temperature and pressure were held constant at 304K and 1.01325bar respectively because of location limitation. The optimization code was written in Matlab programming language. The decision variables (constraints) were obtained randomly within the admission range. The GA and PS optimal values of the decision variables were obtained by minimizing the objective function. The determined GA and PS optimum operating variables have the same values which were compressor pressure ratio (rn) = 9.76, compressor isentropic efficiency (ɳic) = 86.40%, turbine isentropic efficiency (ɳit) = 89.12%, combustion chamber outlet temperature (T3) = 1481.8K, air mass flow rate = 530kg/s, fuel mass flow rate = 7.00kg/s. The total exergy destruction cost rate (D) for PS and GAvaries by +0.00004% and the total investment cost rate for PS and GAvaries by +0.00038%. The results show that there is slight increase in total exergy destruction cost rate and total capital investment cost rate in PS optimum when compared to GA optimum. This shows that GA is better than PS as an optimization algorithm.Abstract: A comparative analysis for improving the efficiency of 100MW Delta IV Ughelli gas turbine power plant is performed. Abstract: In this paper a study in dynamic frequency regime under monochromatic illumination was made on a CIGS-based solar cell model. After solving the continuity equation of the minority carriers, equation governing the diffusion capacitance of the solar cell are extracted. The study shows that increasing the wavelength in the visible increases the module of capacitance at a gallium doping rate X=0.3. On the other hand, the angle of incidence and the gallium doping rate decrease the module of diffusion capacitance. The study of the Bode diagram illustrated by the variation of the module of the capacitance and phase of the latter as a function of the logarithm of the pulsation shows the existence of two characteristic zones of the pulsation whose limit characterizes the dynamic regime The study shows that the pulsation limiting the static regime to the dynamic regime increases with the increase of the gallium doping rate.Abstract: In this paper a study in dynamic frequency regime under monochromatic illumination was made on a CIGS-based solar cell model.
