Abstract: Due to rapid urbanization, a rise in vehicle growth, and a lack of adherence to traffic rules and regulations by drivers and pedestrians, traffic accidents involving pedestrians have become a significant safety problem in most developing countries, including Ethiopia. Urban areas account for the majority of pedestrian accidents. Traffic accidents involving pedestrians are more likely to occur when they are crossing the road. The majority of these accidents occur when pedestrians use rolling gap crossing behavior. The main objective of this study is to explore pedestrian rolling gap crossing behavior at intersection crosswalks in Gambella town. Data regarding pedestrian rolling gap crossing, pedestrian, geometric and environmental characteristics were collected through videography survey method, on-site observation, and measurement. An observational checklist was used to conduct on-site observations at each crosswalk at the selected intersection. Road width, lane width, and median width were also measured using meter tape. Using the collected data, a binary logistic regression model was developed. The developed model revealed that three statistically significant factors significantly affected pedestrian rolling gap crossing. These factors included gender, age, and crosswalk condition. Furthermore, secondary sources were reviewed, including ERA manual, AASHTO manual, and Gambella town master plan. The results of on-site observation, measurements, and the review of secondary sources were used to suggest remedial measures at existing intersection crosswalks.

Abstract: At present, the navigation environment of the Jiangsu section of the Yangtze River is complex, the tidal current direction near the wharf, anchorage and waterway is complex, and the flow velocity is large, and the maximum flood period can reach 6-7 knots. With the full play of the function of the golden waterway, the increasing density of ships' navigation and the increasingly complex navigation environment, the safety of ship pilotage is facing increasing pressure and challenges. The construction of the 12.5-meter deepwater channel in Jiangsu section of the Yangtze River has been improved, and the improvement of the navigation environment has become possible. The entry and exit of 150000 DWT ships in Jiangsu section of the Yangtze River will be normalized. In the process of entering the port, ships need to go through navigation, anchor dropping, berthing and unberthing and other operations. Large ships, especially restricted ships (mainly refers to super draught ships), are limited by water depth. During the process of navigation, anchor dropping, berthing and unberthing, tidal optimization is indispensable. The optimization of anchorage capacity model and berthing and unberthing time is particularly important. Tidal optimization model and algorithm are reflected in the accurate calculation of tides, In order to maximize the use of water depth. Based on the analysis of the existing route selection of Cape ships in the 12.5m deep water channel of the Yangtze River, this paper quantitatively analyzes the existing data from the wharf, anchorage, entry and departure time, etc. The efficiency of navigation and berthing and berthing in the Yangtze River promotes the integrated and high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the Yangtze River Delta region.

Abstract: The exit ramps of highway interchanges are the easy and high incidence points of highway traffic accidents. According to a large number of domestic and international statistics, the number of traffic accidents at freeway interchange ramps accounts for more than 30% of all freeway traffic accidents, and the accident rate at exit ramps is about twice as high as that at import ramps. At present, the research on the safety of exit ramps of freeway interchanges is mostly focused on the individual discussion of each traffic safety influencing factor, but the multiple factors affecting the safety of exit ramps cannot be considered in a comprehensive and coordinated manner. Therefore, in order to improve the safety of highway exit ramps and reduce the probability of accidents, this paper takes the highway exit ramp section as the research object, establishes a simulation model using Carsim software, combines several influencing factors, studies the driving stability of small cars in the exit ramp section, and establishes the relationship between the critical value of safe driving of vehicles in the highway exit ramp section and the radius of circular curve, super high, and friction coefficient, The relationship model between the vehicle's safe driving in the exit ramp section of the highway and the radius of the circular curve, super high, friction coefficient.

Abstract: With the continuous growth of air traffic and the increasing diversification of flight activities, the airspace operation situation is becoming more and more complex and changeable. Air traffic management, as an important foundation to ensure the development of aviation business, its safe behavior capability is of great significance to the safety of civil aviation operation. In order to explore the internal influence mechanism of the situation awareness of controllers on their safety behavior capacity under the background of air traffic control system with manmachine integration, the controllers of an air traffic control branch in a certain area were investigated, and 258 questionnaires were analyzed using structural equation model. The impact of the situation awareness on the safety behavior ability of controllers was studied from three levels: information perception, information understanding, and information prediction. The research results show that the three levels of controller's situational awareness have a positive impact on the controller's safe behavior ability, and the degree of impact from large to small is information prediction (0.675), information perception (0.383), and information understanding (0.275). At present, with the continuous intelligent development of air traffic control system, for the selection and training of controllers, it is necessary to increase the content of investigation and training of controllers' situational awareness.
