Abstract: Separate testing of hardware and software of embedded systems is insufficient. Communication between hardware and software parts needs to be tested during the integrated testing. Discussions about this problem are practically unavailable. Black-box criteria are used for hardware and software testing. This creates the conditions for formulating a unified test generation task and a single template for the generation of tests, as well as enabling a comparison between the criteria of test generation. Black-box criteria make it possible to start generating tests in the early design stages, once the initial software prototype is established. The test object is described in a finite state machine form. The availability of state variables enables the search for a compromise between test performance and quality in test generation. Experiments with two benchmarks showed which criterion of the black box approach is the most suitable for hardware and software testing and that the generation of integration tests according to two criteria is appropriate. The results are important for choosing a reasonable approach to embedded system integration testing.

Abstract: With the rapid development of embedded technology, a variety of embedded application systems gradually come into our lives. The design applies the embedded characteristics to the construction of the electronic guide dog system, meeting the agility needs of the electronic guide dogs. In order to make the existing network video surveillance system miniaturization and simplification, we propose a general webcam implementation. In the design, the embedded Linux operating system is transplanted into Samsung S3C2440 ARM9 chip. The design mainly uses the webcam as a sensor for obstacle avoidance and detection of moving objects, and makes the Web server miniaturization to save space and reduce costs. The system also uses the voice control Beidou navigation device, so the electronic guide dogs can be accepted the commands given by “dog-controlling man”, position the destination automatically and accurately, and guide the “dog-controlling man” marching to it. The system also has good real-time nature and automatic interactivity, and it can be widely used in a variety of electronic guide dogs, so it has broad development prospects.

Abstract: The electrical automation embedded control system is such an automatic control system in which one or several independent full-featured small or micro computer devices as a component or subsystems are combined with control system organically to construct a more powerful and more sophisticated automatic control system. From perspectives of the processing power and the characteristics of handling signals, the commonly used embedded processors include such four types as single-chip microcontrollers, digital signal processors, embedded microprocessors, on-chip systems. There are a lot of common embedded real-time operating systems. The performance, functionality, cost and applications of WinCE, Linux and eCos have been analyzed and compared. It has great reference and guidance significance for people to develop and apply the embedded systems. The automation embedded systems will develop in network, rapid, market-oriented, concise, scientific, environmental direction.

Abstract: The warning system for ocean monitoring and defending is a remote video ocean monitoring system engineering using the information gathering technologies, such as ultrasonic, radar, laser, infrared, machine vision, interactive, and so on, and other integrated technologies, such as wireless sensor networks, modern communication, computer information processing, solar energy. The engineering, based on information collecting technology and wireless sensor networks and combined with the technologies such as Beidou navigation and positioning, images and meteorological sensor information, geographic information, remote sensing information, forms a marine resource digital information management system that provides a full range of electronic monitoring and protection for the oceans. The wireless sensor network is a self-organizing network composed of a large number of sensor nodes, which sets such three technologies as the sensors, micro-electromechanical systems and network in one. The network’s aim is to sense, collect and process the information of the objects in the network coverage and send it to the data processing center to provide the basis for ocean monitoring and managing and protecting the marine safety. With the continuous development of micro-electromechanical system MEMS, wireless communication technology and electronic technology, the practical field of wireless sensor networks is becoming wider and wider.
