Abstract: This paper proposes a mathematical modelling of DC-DC boost converter-inverter system and simulation work is carried out using Scilab/Xcos, which is free and open-source software. In this paper a two-stage DC-AC power conversion system is presented. This system consists of two converters, DC-DC boost converter and single-phase inverter. The boost converter converts input DC low voltage into high DC output voltage. The DC output from boost converter is converted into AC output voltage by an inverter. The mathematical model of a DC-AC boost converter-inverter system is presented with four different modes of operations. By using Kirchhoff’s voltage and current law, the system mathematical model is derived from each operation mode. The mathematical model of the proposed system is represented and state-space matrix is derived. Moreover, the steady-state values of the system are also presented. The transient behaviors of the proposed mathematical model are validated with Xcos simulation results.

Abstract: This research aims to design and implement of tree-structured multichannel filter banks using MATLAB. The multichannel filter banks analysis are evaluated by the Digital Signal Processing (DSP) techniques. The multi rate analysis is suitable for sampling rate reduction and sampling rate increase on the digital filter design. When increasing sampling rate, filtering follows the up-sampling operation. The role of the filter is to attenuate unwanted periodic spectra which appear in the new baseband. The performance evaluation for tree-structured multichannel filter banks design is described in this research work. The experimental results for implemented design are implemented in this paper. The use of an appropriate filter enables one to convert a digital signal of a specified sampling rate into another signal with a target sampling rate without destroying the signal components of interest. The performance of multirate filtering for implemented design is evaluated by using MATLAB.

Abstract: The paper presents the high date rate filter design for satellite communication using MATLAB. In this work, we considered only the numerical analysis for digital filter design based on the mathematical modeling of the filter design implementation. Result shows that operating frequency of IFIR filter is more than 5 times of that of IIR filter and when it is used in demodulator then the system operating frequency increase by 3 times to that of corresponding IIR filter based demodulator.

Abstract: This paper presents a method of Token Validation of a wireless recharge token in Prepayment Energy meter without recourse to any server. Most proposal on wireless recharging have suggested token validation at the server in the Supply Authority’s office. The need for Prepayment Energy Meter to be able to validate token from a wireless source without the help of an intermediary system is highly desirable. The Prepayment Meter is realized with an ADE7755, Atmega328 and Atmega2560 in its circuitry among other components. The ADE7755 gives the load pulses that are measured and recorded by Atmega328P. Atmega2560 manages the units according to consumption. It also controls and monitors the activities of the meter and receives token for recharge from a GSM Short Message Service (SMS) platform using SIM900 as the gateway. It also comprise of a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) for displaying unit balance and other information. The microcontrollers are programmed in C++ language with a Data Encryption Standard (DES) built in a Labview environment used in the token validation algorithm incorporated in Atmega2560. The results obtained show a mean signaling time for SMS recharging of 20.50s and 100% success rate in wireless recharging showing correct validation of recharge token by the meter. With the results obtained, token recharge from wireless sources, especially the SMS can be validated without recourse to a server anywhere.

Abstract: Modern scientific approaches to modeling the schemes and schedules of traffic in the city, as well as the tasks and disadvantages of modern software products for modeling such schemes are considered in the article. It is established that the definition of approaches to optimizing the route network of urban freight traffic between time and distance of the trip has not been fully explored. On the basis of analysis methods, computer simulation and statistical analysis methods, an advanced approach for determining the criterion of optimization of freight transportation between the length of the route and the time of the trip was developed. The proposed approach takes into account the intensity of the traffic flow in individual sections of the road network. With the help of comparison of the basic indicators of the functioning of the modeled routes optimized by two criteria, the approach for determining the optimization of the length of the route or the time of the trip was defined.
