Abstract: The emergence of multi-drug resistant strain of Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans has necessitated the exploration and development of newer structural moiety of Nickel-Schiff bases’ complexes as potential drug candidates against the aforementioned pathogens owing to their enormous inhibitory activity against these microbes. In this study, a Quantitative Structure Activity Relationship analysis was performed on some selected complexes by correlating their experimentally validated bioactivities against the pathogenic microbes with the OD, 1D, 2D and 3D descriptors of the molecules through linear regression resulting in the generation of three statistically significant models from which a hexa-parametric model was selected as the most robust model with R2 = 0.909, R2 adj = 0.890, Q2 = 0.844, R2ext = 0.609. The optimization model hinted the predominance of the size descriptors (WD. volume and nT6Ring), descriptors of hydrogen bond acceptor ability of the complexes (nHBAcc2 and nHBAcc3) and a descriptor of molecular polarity (Weta 3. polar) in influencing the observed anti-microbial activites of the complexes. The wealth of information in this study could provide a blueprint in the design of novel bioactive complexes that could curb the alarming trend of multi-drug resistant strain of Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans.Abstract: The emergence of multi-drug resistant strain of Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans has necessitated the exploration and development of newer structural moiety of Nickel-Schiff bases’ complexes as potential drug candidates against the aforementioned pathogens owing to their enormous inhibitory activity against these microbes. Abstract: Launaea taraxacifolia (Efo yanrin) aqueous extract was orally administered to albino rats with view to investigating the haematological, biochemical and histological difference on body organs. Fifteen (15) albino rats divided into five groups each of three rats were used. Group I was the control while groups II III, IV, and V were dosed with 500mg/kg, 1000mg/kg, 2000mg/kg and 3000mg/kg respectively. Rats treated with different doses of aqueous extracts had increase packed cell volume with a significant increase of 43% in groups II and V alongside with Haemoglobin of 14.3mg/dl increase compared with the control. Moreover, the differential leucocyte counts revealed moderate increase in the lymphocytes count of groups II and V when compared with normal value. The aqueous extract of L. taraxacifolia is safe and has immunostimulatory effect. However, the effect of the extract on the liver of rats has varying degrees of lesions ranging from mild to severe diffuse degeneration of hepatocytes with periportal cellular infiltration. There was presence of multiple foci of caseous necrosis of the hepatic cells. Animals to which aqueous extract was administered at graded doses showed presence of eosinophilic cast in degenerated tubules with cellular infiltration in the renal interstitium. The histological result showed that the aqueous extract of L. taraxacifolia, could be toxic to the liver and kidney and caution should therefore be exercised in its use for medicinal purpose.Abstract: Launaea taraxacifolia (Efo yanrin) aqueous extract was orally administered to albino rats with view to investigating the haematological, biochemical and histological difference on body organs. Abstract: This paper expresses the predominant heterogeneous transport process of Achromobacter in the study area. These contaminant were monitored through mathematical modeling approach, the study were to predict the rate of concentration at different strata to unconfined bed, the expression from these derived model generated numerous theoretical values through simulation, the generated values through graphical representation expresses lots of variation in concentration at different formation, this condition were observed to reflect on the behaviour of the microbes in terms of transport influenced by predominant permeability coefficient, including deposition of micronutrient under predominant heterogeneous setting. The influences from this formation characteristics expresses the reflection of various rate of concentration observed in these figures, the deposition of Achromobacter through this developed model has definitely analyzed the level of transport in the study location, the study is imperative because experts will apply this developed tools in monitoring Achromobacter in soil and water environment.Abstract: This paper expresses the predominant heterogeneous transport process of Achromobacter in the study area.
