Abstract: The digital paradigm to which these new technologies (NTIC) belong is at the origin of particular linguistic practices. Internet is an innovator in this field. Indeed, its users want their written communications to be as fast as during oral exchanges; they will choose their knowledge to write on a saving in expressive type. Also wishing to transmit feelings and emotions, they will call upon an iconography, which uses the diacritics as material serving creation of logograms. This redundancy of a diverted punctuation of its original use, but being used “to punctuate” the speech by figurines translating the emotional state of the speaker, is a characteristic of this numerical space. Through the analysis of the corpus taken on the Internet and put in comparison with the hieroglyphic system introduced by Champollion Le Jeune [5] and the graphic evolution of some ideograms, it will be shown that it is always about the same used model, in which a key always initiates a semantic field, and that this process orders a reorganization of the objects of the world through a new scriptural writing.

Abstract: One of the four goals of STEM aims to educate the best STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) experts in the world. Professional Development programs shared the elements of strong leadership, Building capacity of teachers, and provide instructional guidance for them. However, STEM teachers encountered difficulties in adapting to the new integration reforms into their classrooms Therefore, high quality STEM infusion professional development programs are an urgent need. In the midst of discouraging circumstances findings unraveled that the trend of STEM augmentation is growing at a slow but steady pace in developing countries but it has led to an alarming trend in some developed countries in the world. By combing the related literature, this paper summarizes that an update of promising practices in STEM teacher education programs in enhancing student learning in their own context is a drastic need and highly-qualified STEM teachers are still in high demand.

Abstract: The proportion of older persons in Bangladesh is significantly increasing due to demographic transition. This will bring new demands related to older persons’ health and social needs. Expeditious development of initiatives to face these coming challenges is required. The aim of this study was to assess older persons’ quality of life in southern Bangladesh, and the relationship between quality of life and various socio-demographic characteristics in this region. Data were collected from 280 older persons from 10 villages. The Bengali version of WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire was used to measure the quality of life. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze demographic and quality of life data. One way classification of analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to compare two groups of older persons with different socio-demographic characteristics. The study found that older persons reported a moderate quality of life score (M = 73.82, SD = 9.35). Results also showed that being male, married, literate, living in an extended family, and having a medium family income, significantly contributed to a higher quality of life score. There is a need to identify the psychological and social problems that affect older persons’ quality of life in order to prepare strategies to improve their quality of life. The authors believe that this study’s findings will contribute to this process.

Abstract: The summary paper argues that the phenomenon of male alliance (friendship) emerges as a consequence of mutual preference demonstrated by male individuals - both human and animal, - and such preference can be empirically captured. Friendly relations between men are built on two different foundations: (1) the principle of biological and social similarity and (2) the principle of psychological complementarity of the alliance members. Friendship is predominantly formed between boys and men of the same ethnic (racial) origin, similar age, behavior, and common social background. By contrast, psychologically friends are selected based on the complementarity of their temperament and main personality traits, such as ergonicity, sthenicity, emotionality, neophobia/neophilia, extraversion/introversion, dependence/independence of behavior, and dominance/submissiveness. These principles trigger the following key effects: a person is more likely to develop an individual preference and find a friend in childhood, and the number of potential friends is very limited.

Abstract: In a world that is full of dangerous and serious global issues, preserving human rights and keeping peace and stabilization seem to be very difficult. EFL (i.e., English as foreign language) teachers should be wary of the global issues in addition to the suspicious events, such as violence, inequality, injustice, disrespect and other negative aspects, which happen outside their classrooms. Henceforth, to avoid or at least reduce the effects of the global problems, they should provide instruction on the ethics of global citizenship to make their students cautious about what would be encountered outdoor since they are members belonging to the same society. The responsibility of teachers increases in this status quo, especially in terms of preparing their students to face the problems of the present epoch and equipping them with the skills and knowledge required to be citizens who know their rights and duties. The ethics of global citizenship have their potential value in education because they prepare learners to face the global issues and provide them with the necessary skills and ethical concepts, such as respect, empathy, cooperation and many other standards in order to create global ethical societies.

Abstract: In the last few decades, Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) and Self-Regulation have become topics of prime interest in education. ICTs, for instance, are nowadays widely used in English as a foreign language (EFL) classes for being effective tools in facilitating teaching and learning. On the other hand, self-regulated learning is broadly demanded toemphasise students’ autonomy and engagement in the learning process. With regard to educational psychology, self-regulated learning (SRL) has a notable effect on students’ cognition, metacognition, motivation, and behaviours. However, in self-regulated learning, unlike self-directed learning, the teacher is primarily involved in the students’ regulation practices. This creates a challenge to the teachers concerning their abilities to support self-regulation inside the classroom walls and in a limited time, especially with the rapid evolution of technology including online platforms. The major concern of this research paper lies in the ways that support students’ self-regulation. Therefore, it ultimately discusses how online platforms, the case of ‘Easyclass’ can strengthen students’ self-regulation skills in order to improve their achievement. It also tries to assist instructors in teaching students how to be effective self-regulated learners and promote their study skills and habits through technologies.

Abstract: The aim of the paper is to present an approach toward creativity and learning in business context in two lines. The first is referred to the processes of creativity as organizational assets and capital. The second line involves a focus on actual learnings settings where the evaluation of results produces new ideas, approaches, contexts, vision, efficiency, organizational needs and goals. This paper discusses Amy Edmondson’s scientific approach to execution-as-learning and the research on execution-as-efficiency (2008). The results include the assumption that a larger independence in assertions from each group (on execution-as-learning and execution-as-efficiency) is needed in an organizational context.
