Abstract: In this research work aiming at determining the physical and mechanical properties of the wood species Wengé, attention has also been paid to its creep behavior through an accelerated test technic. It came out from experimental studies that Wengé wood exhibits good dimensional stability parameters and good mechanical characteristics. Meanwhile, classical creep tests are both time consuming and cost intensive because of their long test time. Hence accelerated creep tests are used to extrapolate the information to the time scale of conventional tests on measurements conducted for much shorter durations. In this research work, we also demonstrate the use of stepped isostress method (SSM) in 4-point bending mode as a means of accelerated creep measurement of the wood species Millettia Laurentii called Wengé. The SSM employs a load-stepping approach, typically with at least three steps for a single specimen. The tests have been carried out at temperature of 23°C and 65% relative humidity. The flexural properties of the wood were determined. The master curve obtained can be used for predicting the creep behavior of the test material for time periods more exceeding the experimental one. Besides, from the Eyring theory on creep we calculated the activation volume of the Millettia Laurentii wood. Of course these findings clearly indicate that the reduction modulus of the wood species Millettia Laurentii in this work is increasing over time but at a decreasing rate.

Abstract: Today large-panel house construction occupies a leading place, both in terms of speed of construction and in terms of sales, which contributes to an increase in the volume of prefabricated house-construction. Modern technologies allow creating comfortable, bright residential buildings of high quality. However, the issues of thermal insulation remain relevant: increased requirements for energy efficiency of residential facilities, new materials and construction technologies are being introduced. In the industrial construction market, metal diagonal ties and mounting loops of ferrous metal are widely used, which affects the energy efficiency of houses. Currently, in the technology of construction of panel houses of sandwich panels, current trend is to reduce the standard thickness of the facade layer of a three-layer sandwich panel (GOST 31310-2015) from 70 mm to 40 mm or less. The new materials proposed in the paper can reduce metal- and material consumption and improve the thermal characteristics of panel houses. The use of construction products made of composite materials such as diagonal flexible ties, composite flexible mounting loops and composite reinforcing mesh will allow increasing the energy efficiency of the panel, reducing the cost of manufacturing of the panel and increasing productivity – creating an innovative energy-efficient reinforced concrete sandwich panel of the 21st century. The paper is devoted to studying the effect of replacing steel flexible ties with composite ones, and replacing steel loops with flexible mounting loops in three-layer sandwich panels.

Abstract: Weight of an automobile and its parts are an important parameter regarding its performance and efficiency. As the weight of vehicle increases its fuel efficiency and performance decreases. To enhance the performance of an automobile, the automobile parts should be lighter in weight and also possess the required strength. So, Weight reduction of engine mounting brackets can be achieved by changing the material of brackets and also by optimizing the material removal for hole manufacturing on the brackets. Optimization of material removal rate is done by applying Taguchi method. Under this project, study of optimization of material removal rate will be done by using Taguchi method and signal-to-noise ratio graph will be obtained with the help of Minitab Software. In this automotive era the need for light weight structural materials is increasing as there is a more focus on fuel consumption reduction and improvement in decreasing the emission. The magnitude of production volumes has traditionally placed severe requirements on the robustness of process used in the manufacturing. The manufacturers have strong importance on the cost has the demand for the component to improve the material performance and to deliver these materials at low cost is the requirement. The result & conclusion will be drawn and suitable future scope will be suggested.

Abstract: When the cornerstone of Bangladesh's economy, the Readymade Garments (RMG) sector, is proliferating vigorously, some intrinsic disgraceful factors are thwarting its progress. The absence of proper worker satisfaction is a significant one. Several research works done before indisputably demonstrated a strong relationship between worker satisfaction and its correlation with productivity improvement. This research reveals worker satisfaction as an integral factor of productivity enhancement in the RMG sector of Bangladesh. Moreover, it addresses how productivity enhancement is highly influenced by different elements of worker satisfaction. After identifying the factors from previous literature, the impact of those factors was analyzed. A questionnaire containing different factors of employee satisfaction was used for collecting necessary data. The survey presented a range of options from (1-5), depicting “strongly disagree” to “strongly agree” for collecting their feedback. Finally, after the data collection, productivity improvement through worker satisfaction has been investigated by using hypothesis testing—some satisfaction related factors have also been scrutinized to get a better result. As the RMG sector plays the predominant role in the Bangladesh economy, this research will help the factory owner and Managers to ensure worker satisfaction and production enhancement. This paper argues to focus on those factors which directly influence worker satisfaction intending to increase the productivity of the RMG sector as well as buttressing Bangladesh's economy.

Abstract: Research analysis of circular-arc-tooth-trace cylindrical gear transmission line deputy basic forming theory, the use of finite element discretization process to the entire gear model is simplified to only a single tooth model, using software ANSYS Workbench 13.0, reasonable determination of the boundary of model boundary width and depth, based on the Gleason cutter machining parameters, in UG/Open Grip environment, expand the influence of the bending strength of gear tooth line radius mechanism research, obtained under the pressure of a certain intensity, given the corresponding modulus, tooth number, pressure Angle, the parameters of the tooth width conditions, different change with the radius of tooth line, Finally, it is concluded that the bending strength of gear teeth changes with the change of tooth radius. Research has shown that lines to circular arc tooth cylindrical gear teeth, radius and its tooth bending strength have close relations, but not to say that the smaller the radius of the tooth trace of gear tooth, or, the greater the the tooth bending strength is better, but under the condition of a module, tooth line radius within a certain range, the bending strength of gear teeth.
