Abstract: As part of Qatar’s national vision for 2030, environmental sustainability has been put forward as an important aspect to develop for the future of the country [13]. Youssef [25] states that while the urban growth of Qatar is a somewhat recent phenomena, 99% of the country’s population reside in cities. This has led to several challenges, such as an increase in water, and electricity consumption, increase in waste, and polluted air quality. Thus, in order to manage these long term sustainable urban development challenges, Qatar has emphasized the importance of sustainable and green cities, such as Msheireb Downtown Doha. The aim of this research is to create scenarios about sustainable living in Qatar. The research begins with a PESTLE analysis of the country, from which the most important driving forces are derived. The extremes of the drivers are then elaborated upon, from which four scenarios are created and described in detail. Consequently, future strategic options are derived out of the scenarios, and the most feasible, and realistic options are chosen for each scenario in this research. Lastly, the options are reflected upon, and the research is completed with a conclusion at the end.

Abstract: The purpose of this writing was to provide general excerpt of philosophy for the first time readers. This general excerpt of philosophy will minimize fundamental misunderstanding of philosophy. As my observation and experience, most of the time, in my country, Ethiopia and in my continent, Africa, individuals who are not study and know philosophy as a discipline, have not idea of what philosophy means. Even if they have idea of philosophy, their idea is out of the truck. For them everything is philosophy. Poem, dance, conversation and etc… are philosophy. The poet, the dancer, the informer and the talkative are philosophers. However, philosophy is not talking of trash events. It does not mean ordinary dialogue rather it is hard science which typically has its own scientific procedure and scientific investigation. Philosophers are persons who deal with science of wisdom: wisdom of knowledge, reality, ethics, politics and beauty. Accordingly, for the purpose, I, roughly, melting together the different topics of philosophy in to different branches of philosophy. Further, the unforgotten point over here is that I did document analysis as a baseline to give general expert of philosophy.

Household’s consumption expenditure per adult equivalent was analyzed to measure household wellbeing. Multi-stage sampling technique was employed to select sample households from three Kebeles. Both primary and secondary data were used. Data were collected primarily through Semi-structured survey questionnaire from 178 households. Descriptive statistics and propensity score matching model were used to analyze the data. Propensity score matching (PSM) technique of impact evaluation preferred to overcome counterfactual problem and selection bias. Analysis results show that non-farm activities have increased consumption expenditure per adult equivalent ranging from 29.1% to 36.7% for participant households. In conclusion, participant households were more likely to be wellbeing as compared to the non-participant households. The result from the logistic estimator also revealed that participation in non-farm activities was significantly associated with variables such as age, education, adult equivalent size, cultivable land size, farm experience, and distance from main road, tropical livestock unit and access to nonfarm training. Therefore, such rural development planners and other stakeholders should consider the roles of these variables within the selection of participants for desired impact on economic wellbeing.

Abstract: Macbeth is a very popular play and is the shortest tragedy that Shakespeare wrote. The play was written between the years 1599 – 1606 and was performed worldwide in professional theatres. The play deals with the dangers of passion, power and betrayal among friends and as a morality play it presents the destructive power of evil. This evil is not necessarily particular to the characters but represents universal evil. The play transcends time and place and consequently is currently relevant. Psychoanalytic theory proposed by Sigmund Freud in the early 20th century and subsequently developed by his students and their successors, caused a dramatic change in understanding the drives underlying human behaviour and their effect on the life of the individual and society. In choosing the subject for the present article I have tried to combine two fields that are of particular interest to me: psychoanalytic theory, as developed by Freud and his successors; and classic literature. In the latter case, I opted for Shakespeare's Macbeth, a play that portrays exquisitely the intense struggle between mental forces in man, as well as the impact of these forces on behaviour and on the course pursued by individuals and society. This article does not purport to be a scientific analysis à la Sigmund Freud, but rather a treatment of the play as a metaphor for psychoanalytic structures and for the universal human drama in progress, as did Shakespeare himself, with messages that are relevant for contemporary society.

Abstract: In this study, it was analyzed and published the results of a survey of 193 Ukrainian authors about how the literary contest contributes or does not contribute to their writing career. Famous and potential writers from different regions of Ukraine were asked to fill out a questionnaire and answer questions about the literary contest. The basic indicators for identifying respondents as authors were the availability of published or unpublished works. For both groups of authors, famous and unpublished, the number of winnings and the number of attempts to win were counted. It was found that it is usually difficult for an unknown author to find their first publisher and to collaborate about the subsequent publication of the book. In such circumstances, the professional judges of the literary contest, by reviewing the submitted creative works, preliminary evaluate their probable success. The results showed that the literary contest gives new authors some opportunities to be published, but less than they expect. Thus, it was found out that the Ukrainian literary contest is similar in its functions to a literary agent. Other functions of the literary contest were singled out, namely psychological, motivational, marketing, promoting, developing, and consecration. Of the functions of the Ukrainian literary contest, offered to the respondents, one took a dominant position – discovering the new names of writers. “Koronatsiya slova” was named the most authoritative literary contest in Ukraine. The authors were also asked to note what the Ukrainian literary contests need. The answers demonstrate, that the difference between their expectations and the real possibilities of the contest is explained by the problems, which were grouped from the comments of the interviewed authors. The answers of the authors are recommended to be supplemented in the future by the answers of the representatives of the publishing houses and literary criticism.
