Abstract: The objective of this study is to investigate the role of Civics and Ethical Education in building the process of democratization in Ethiopia as well as the challenges facing in implementation process of the discipline and its future prospects. This study is mainly an empirical research focusing on the practical experience of researcher and different secondary sources of data were employed. Methodologically, qualitative research approach was employed to achieve the stated objectives. Accordingly, secondary sources such as journals, books, policy documents and reports were employed for this study. To substantiate the data gathered through secondary sources, primary source of data was also employed like observation of the researcher and key informant interview were used in this study. Based on the data analyzed the finding of the study shows that Civics and Ethical Education has played prominent role in the democratization process of the country. Especially, the discipline has created the demanding society in general and created the youth who knows their rights and demands their human and democratic rights to be protected. The study has shown Civics and Ethical Education has progressive role than previous type of Civics Education existed in the country; but still the gap with regard to creating responsible citizens those who knows their duties (responsibilities) and rights are interdependent. Finally, the study has indicated about challenges facing in implementing the discipline and its future prospects.

The Chinese Mode of Supporting Social Organizations: A New Framework

Abstract: As an important part of the ecological chains of social organizations, the supporting social organizations is committed to provide all-round support for service-oriented social organizations including capabilities, funding, and strategic guidance. Under the historical and political influence, the Chinese supporting social organizations are not only effective in helping and supportive, but also in accepting the transfer of government functions and meeting the needs of social governance. In view of the complexity and diversity of the current development environment, the initiator and sources of funds as two dimensions basically determine the genes and the future development direction of one supporting social organization. On this basis, four development modes, including the acting government mode, the governmental and social binding mode, the social multivariate mode and the consortium dominant mode, are summarized in this paper and each mode is illustrated respectively by one case selected. In addition, an analytical framework for the supporting social organizations with Chinese characteristics is constructed, and the relevant policy recommendations are also put forward in this paper.

Abstract: China's family planning policy has achieved remarkable results in controlling the excessive growth of population, but it has also caused a series of problems, such as labor shortage, consumption depression and so on, especially the impact on the traditional family values of young people. Young people do not want to have more children, or even one child, which will have a huge impact on the development of Chinese society. This paper probes into the reasons of the evolution of family values of young people in China from the aspects of living burden and social security system etc. The paper pointed out that the evolution of family values of young people in China will have a great impact on social development. Every family has two children, which is beneficial to social development. In order to solve young people's worries about having more children, a good social security system should be established.

Abstract: [Research background] Different social forms determine different social governance models. With the development of the Internet of things, cloud computing and artificial intelligence, digital governance has entered the big data era. [Research questions and methods] What should be the digital governance model for the big data era? Krassimira believe that applying digital governance theory to guide smart city practice is an important step in governance theory in the field of urban governance. Singapore's "Smart nation 2025" is the first blueprint for a smart nation in the world. Taking the practice of Singapore's “smart nation 2025” as a case study, based on the theory of digital governance, from the three dimensions of digital economy, digital government and digital society, using the "institutional-organization-technology-behavior" analysis framework, this paper analyzes the context framework of Singapore's digital governance model, and summarizes the typical characteristics of Singapore's digital governance model. [Conclusion] The study found that Singapore has established a digital governance model in which governments, economic society, and civil society can collaborate and interact. Singapore has accumulated a wealth of digital governance experience[Contribution and limitation] Singapore's urban development is highly mature, and its digital governance has typical particularity, but the experience and enlightenment of Singapore's digital governance practice can provide a reference path for improving China's digital governance ability.
