On the Primitive Image and Root Seeking Consciousness in Root Seeking Novels

Abstract: The ideological trend of root seeking literature is an influential literary movement in the mid-1980s, but the literary circles have always had different views on root seeking literature. There is no unified concept about the theoretical concepts of root seeking, such as "root", "culture", "tradition" and "fracture", which makes the root seeking novels have "many semantic fields" and the tendency of various cultural interpretation, especially the differences on "traditional culture" are very obvious. Therefore, it is particularly important to clarify the relationship between root seeking novels and traditional culture, so as to deeply grasp the cultural meaning of root seeking novels. It is worth noting that the traditional expression of root seeking writers is based on the connection with the contemporary humanistic environment, and conceives the original natural picture of all things with the help of traditional culture, showing the worship and admiration of the original nature, the direction of freedom and independence, and the romantic concept of survival and primitive consciousness. Based on the "primitive image" proposed by Zhao Peilin in the origin of Xing, this paper analyzes and explains the spiritual and mysterious image codes in the representative works of root seeking novels White Deer Plain, tree king and northern river, and probes into the traditional cultural concepts and root seeking consciousness transmitted by the three primitive images of "deer", "tree" and "River".

Abstract: The integration of science-education and industry-education is not only an important issue in the development of colleges and disciplines, but also a key factor restricting the training quality of high-quality talents. The dual-integration collaborative education model can effectively promote the innovation chain, talent chain, education chain, and achievement chain of universities, and deeply integrate with the application chain, development chain, and industrial chain of enterprises. Abstract: Since the entry of the new century, the state competent authorities concerned have promulgated a series of decrees, policies, rules and regulations on the development of the professional degrees for postgraduate education from macro design and overall planning. Under such circumstances the professional degree for doctor seems to be coming out in the near future. In order to distinguish the differences between the traditional,namely academic, and the professional degrees for doctor, the paper makes prominent the professional talents for interpreting as its characteristics by interpretation through its practice-orientation. Suggestions have been made to make sure that the goal of cultivating the senior or high-class interpretors will be reached by establishing a set of complete, unique, forceful educational system based on the practice-orientation. Therefore, such steps for shaping high-class interpretors as target, enrollment or admission qualification, curriculum setting, teacher allotment, teaching mode, dissertation defence and quality evaluation would be discussed and reflected here in detail from the perspective of the discipline based on the theory. The suggestions and methods put forward for the development in this field would be greatly meaningful and helpful for the establishment of the DTI programme and its education to come in the future in China.

Abstract: The anchoring effect, as a typical cognitive bias, has been widely used in judgment and decision making research in different fields, and as the anchoring effect has been verified in many fields, more and more attention has been paid to the methods and approaches to reduce the anchoring effect. As the basis and core of military decision making to achieve certain military goals and missions, correct and reasonable military decision making is the key to the success of military operations. In order to effectively reduce or even avoid the cognitive bias caused by the anchoring effect on commanders and improve the correctness and rationality of military decisions, this paper systematically analyzes the theoretical explanations of the anchoring effect in different periods, summarizes the psychological mechanism of the anchoring effect, and on this basis gives several typical examples of battles at home and abroad in which the anchoring effect affected the correct decisions of commanders and eventually led to the failure of military operations. The harm of anchoring effect in military command decision making is analyzed in conjunction with the CECA decision model, and the paper proposes effective strategies to cope with anchoring effect in military decision making, which can serve as useful references for military decision makers at different levels.

Abstract: During the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games, China showed the historical background and tourism information of the host city Zhangjiakou to the international community through national propaganda films, which aimed to spread Chinese culture and attract foreign investment. Therefore, the publicity effect of the national propaganda films is extremely important. Subtitle translation plays an important role in the process of cultural export in Chinese film industry and serves as the bridge and link in the interaction between China and other countries. Considering the communication effect of propaganda films, Peter Newmark’s communicative translation theory focuses on readers’ understanding and response, which is in accordance with the purpose of subtitle translation of propaganda films. Based on the communicative translation theory proposed by Newmark, this paper takes the English subtitles of the propaganda film of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games Great Beauty Zhangjiakou as the research object and analyzes the translation methods of English subtitles from the aspects of proper nouns and syntax. In proper noun translation, simultaneous screen is used as an auxiliary tool for proper noun annotation, and transliteration, the combination of transliteration and free translation, and free translation are adopted respectively, which not only shorten the subtitle space but also contribute to the effective transmission of cultural information. Syntactically, the number of the second person is increased, the person subject is converted into object subject and transcreation is properly used in the translation of some sentences, which enhance audience reception and the summoning function of subtitle. Abstract: The steady development of computer information technology, changes in the objective learning environment, changes in the learning styles and characteristics of contemporary college students, and the impact of the epidemic have greatly promoted the drastic changes in the English teaching model.
