Abstract: Trends on marketplace proves higher education institutions as being a global product that provoke a worldwide competition of students and finding ever more creative ways to satisfy their needs and preferences. It is the explicit recognition of the tension on new marketing tools which our paper seeks to highlight as the basis for attaining higher education institutional positioning in the 21st century. The review was intended to find out apart from traditional marketing mix tools, what else marketing strategies are emerging to promote higher education institutions? And to find out, how the emerging marketing strategies are effective to win client’s attention? The study applied a qualitative content analysis approach to search for literatures in business and education suitable to respond to the research questions. Searching of secondary data was made using electronic and online databases. The search was limited to publications between 2000 and 2016 years. The aim was to obtain more current literature on trends of higher education marketing whereby published scholarly journal articles, conference papers and reports were used. A total of 51 articles were reviewed for empirical and theoretical literatures while 18 conference papers and reports were also included. Thematic analysis was applied to analyze the secondary data. The found emerging marketing strategies developed a new model for higher education marketing. Whereby the findings established that student life cycle, benchmarking and networking, and the use of new media are emerging contemporary marketing tools of higher education positioning in the 21st century.

Abstract: In China, entering higher education is an ideal for parents and students to study hard for 12 years. They have made a lot of efforts in time and economy. However, because the goal of students in high school tends to be single, academic achievement has become the capital for students to be proud at this stage. However, after arriving at the University, due to the lack of direction and guidance in the goal, their choice is often poor in purpose, stability and persistence. Most students are addicted to the Internet, love and various student community activities. So, as university educators, how to make them complete the transition from high school to university life will be an important topic. From the perspectives of students, teachers and schools, this paper will analyze and explore the problems existing in the Transitional Education of freshmen majoring in software engineering in Beijing University of technology. At the same time, from the aspects of College Students' physical and mental health, ideological and cultural education, the guidance of the engineering education objectives of this major, a variety of measures to optimize the curriculum system Teachers' self-improvement and the overall improvement of the school give the corresponding specific countermeasures. Abstract: Engineering education professional certification is an internationally accepted engineering education quality assurance system and an important basis for realizing international mutual recognition of engineering education and engineer qualification. The purpose is to ensure that engineering graduates have the comprehensive ability to adapt to social engineering work. The evaluation is oriented by training objectives and graduation requirements. There are seven aspects of engineering education professional certification, of which the most core is students. The ultimate goal is to meet the graduation requirements, and the specific guarantee is the training goal. Passing the engineering education certification has become an important work of undergraduate education and training. Based on engineering certification and under the guidance of the goal of software engineering major of Software College of Beijing University of technology, this paper compares the syllabus of software process and project management in 2015 and 2020. This paper makes a detailed comparative analysis from the aspects of teaching objectives, teaching contents, teaching methods and assessment methods. The comparison results show that the revision of the curriculum according to the engineering certification has brought more positive changes. It is hoped that the results of the reform can provide some inspiration to relevant teaching personnel.

Effective Learning and Learning Strategies for Some of the Department of Physics Students at Wolaita Sodo University

Abstract: Effective Learning Techniques are an integral part of learning strategies; the student needs to be involved in the presentation in order to be successful in learning. Student learning outcomes are stated in the analysis of sample data at a rate of 20.15; high score 29.00 low score 13.00; 4% received less than average (13 -14 marks), 3% received average marks (15 marks) and 93% received above average (16 - 29 marks). We investigated effective learning strategies (interview, video clip, role play, role play, five-minute paper, clear break, and group performance) and student learning outcomes (SLOs) among a sample of 158 Wolaita Sodo University Department of Physics. Answering a list of learning questions and assessment of student learning outcomes. We have made our analysis reveal a statistically significant correlation between effective learning strategies and student learning outcomes; therefore learning strategies should also provide 14% (Rsq = 0.139) of variability included in students' learning outcomes and this has been found to be statistically significant (F (1,156) = 25.23, p <.05). In addition, video clip simulation emerged as the most effective learning strategy and had the highest association with student learning outcomes (r = 0.340, p <0.05). The findings discuss the importance of effective learning strategies that promote learning among university students.

Abstract: Application-oriented professions are developing rapidly, but the evaluation criteria for the quality of application-oriented professions are rare, By referring to the quality evaluation and Accreditation standards of science and engineering majors in various countries, the quality evaluation standards of science and engineering majors have been formulated, and the weights of the evaluation standards have been determined through questionnaire surveys. Three levels of indicators, the first level indicators include Curriculum construction, Professional skills training and competency, Faculty and Staff Resources, Employer cooperation. Each first-level indicator contains several second-level indicators, a total of 13 second-level indicators, each second-level indicator contains several third-level indicators, a total of 38 third-level indicators. The Index System Embodies the Student-Centered and Pragmatic Educational Concepts, It reflects the requirements for the professional skills of graduates of applied majors, and also reflects the requirements for training in cooperation with employers, It also reflects the requirements for the innovative ability of undergraduate graduates, requiring applied universities to pay attention to their social responsibilities. Applied engineering technology majors lack specific curriculum guidance, and it is necessary to strengthen school-enterprise cooperation and increase dual-qualified teachers with practical experience in engineering technology.

Abstract: Today, information technology has become an important factor of productivity to promote social development. It combines with all industries in the world, develops rapidly, and has a profound impact on human production and life. Aesthetic education plays a high role in China's higher education. For a long time, people have formed much understanding of the aesthetic education of engineering majors, while information technology, as a new engineering major intersecting with all industries, has more urgent, comprehensive and profound requirements for aesthetic education. As the cradle of information technology talents, how to cultivate talents leading the development of the times has become an important topic. This paper, starting from the problems faced by aesthetic education of colleges and universities and combined with the characteristics of information technology major, points out that the purpose of information technology major to carry out aesthetic education is to achieve harmony between man and nature and ensure that information technology benefits human society, aiming to let students develop aesthetic consciousness and aesthetic ability, shape perfect personality, and create beautiful things. Abstract: Quantum information is a new subject produced by the cross integration of quantum physics and information technology, mainly including quantum communication, quantum computing and quantum metrology. In recent years, quantum information technologies such as quantum cryptography and quantum computing have developed rapidly. Under this background, some universities have set up a professional elective course of quantum information for undergraduates majoring in cyberspace security. This course mainly introduces students to quantum information related to cyberspace security, such as quantum key distribution, quantum cryptographic algorithm, quantum computing algorithm and quantum computer. This paper combs and summarizes the teaching experience of quantum information course group from the perspectives of teaching and learning. On the one hand, it discusses how teachers organize teaching effectively. According to the characteristics of undergraduates majoring in cyberspace security, teacher need to set clear teaching objectives, carefully choose teaching contents, compile appropriate teaching materials, select appropriate teaching methods and make exquisite teaching slides. At the same time, when implementing classroom teaching, teacher need to pay attention to teach the course from the perspective of cyberspace security and integrate the latest research results of quantum information into classroom teaching in real time. On the other hand, it discusses how teachers help students learn quantum information course well.
